Crystal Skulls
April 28, 2008

Yes! I finally started researching crystal skulls! While I looked for information on C.S I found the Crystalinks. Crystalinks has its own private page for crystal skulls, including descriptions of their four myths. Since I can’t find a better way to restate it, I’ve posted the myths below:
- “13 crystal skulls were left behind by a sophisticated Hollow Earth society who left thirteen “master skulls” which contain around the planet the history of these people, their relationship to our creation, and the future of humanity.
- 13 crystal skulls were left behind thousands of years ago, by ancient Mayan elders, to be found by future generations. These skulls are containers of great knowledge and wisdom holding information about the history of the planet, the evolution of mankind, and above all, our purpose on this Earth and our future destiny. The legend says that one day, at a time of great crises, all of the 13 crystal skulls will be discovered and reunited. When that time comes the information will be divulged to humanity, who will be ready to understand it.
- 13 life-size crystal skulls scattered throughout the planet that will one day be brought together, forming a grid matrix that will allow human consciousness to evolve and return to its natural state of light. Some of the skulls are allegedly in the hands of indigenous people, shaman perhaps, who are custodians of the artifacts, while other crystal skulls remain in the hands of those who are not yet aware of their importance.
- 12 people, along with their crystal skulls, will be guided to a specific place, when the time is right, most likely the Yucatan. No one seems to know exactly when or where that will, though the time feels soon. The location of the 13th skull is most likely unknown at this time. Theories abound from a link to extraterrestrials, to buried beneath the ground, to it will manifest when time is resequenced, to being hidden by ancient Mayan elders. When placed together, the crystal skulls will form a grid matrix (reality is a consciousness holographic matrix) aligned with the 13th skull, allowing human consciousness to ascend (return) to its natural state of being, light.]”

Crystal skulls are meant to be kept for luck, though the original crystal skulls date back to early-B.P era. They are known to channel good energy for the superstitious. I believe, but I can’t really say for certain, that they originated in Mexico (in connection to Day of the Dead) even though information on crystal skulls is meek. I found this video that supports my claim about the origin of the skulls:
The video is supplied by the book “The Mystery of the Crystal Skulls,” (website).
In the meantime, I’ve been able to catch up with more of Takeshi Yamada’s art work. Yamada is probably one of my favorite sculptures, even though his art might not be seen in that medium. Yamada (I’ve posted his art work before), is a taxidermy artist. Yamada has also done other pieces without the use of animals. Some of his noted works are the fiji mermaid, human faced insects, fossilized fairies, vampire cocoons, two headed babies, and ceremonial warrior armor. His works have been displayed in several museums but are the focal point of many circus groups and cabinet curiosities.

And yayyy! Gossip Girl is back on TV! I meant to write about it earlier, but I didn’t have the time. In the last episode of Gossip Girl- Jenny Humphrey starts stealing and selling the clothes of upper east side moms. When she finds out a dress she had stolen was a “one-of-a-kind Valentino” she is desperate to get it back. Unfortunately, that isn’t how things work on that side of New York. Jenny is caught with the dress, removed from her group of queen bee’s, returned to her group of queen bee’s (with the help of Nate Archibald), and all in time for her birthday. On the other side of town, Blair Waldorf is struggling to regain stature, which she does, happily, until Jenny’s return. People are still looking down on her for sleeping with her boyfriends best friend- so much, in fact, that she gets crowned with a dollop of yogurt on the first day back from Spring Break (harsh!).

Serena is always supportive of her but has other things on her mind. Her mother is getting married to Bart Bass, Chuck is her brother-in-law, and she is being bombarded with gifts of cocaine, champaign, and pornography by none other then Georgina, an ex frenemy. So while all of this was happening I was able to pick up a few spoilers for the upcoming episodes.
1. Jenny Humphrey’s new boyfriend is seen making out with none other then Eric Van Der Woodsen
2. Dan Humphrey is seen making out with Gorgina
3. Vanessa (Dan’s childhood friend) is seen locking lips with Nate Archibald
4. Lilly Van Der Woodsen is quizzed about her past with Mr. Humphrey during a public interview

That is all I could scoop up. The next episode airs tonight at nine o’ clock on CWTV. All this and more will be revealed in the coming soups.
EDIT: Here is my account of tonight GG episode: SAT’s are in full force so all our favorite characters (excluding little J) are bending over backwards to get that perfect score.
Chuck is running a business for anxious seniors with a clone étudiant at your disposal which is the route reformed school girl, Serena Van Der Woodsen takes. Why? Because GG has decided to reveal Georgina– we now can put a face to a name.
On their first date, which Serena is reluctant about, they drink cosmo’s at a bar in the east side of New York. Serena looses her grip and decides to make her exit to much of Georgina’s dismay. Chuck helps cover for Serena and all is well, except for in the Humphrey family. Dan spends most of his time worrying about his girlfriend instead of studying for his SATs.
The second date, Serena insists that they have a short dinner, but when Serena turns her head Georgina spikes a little more then rum in her coke. The date drug knocks Serena out and she misses her SATs, causing her to end her relationship with Georgina, no matter what the frenemy holds against her. Bitter, Georgina poses as a girl name Sarah, luring in the young Humphrey and loyal boyfriend to Serena, Dan.
In the meantime, Jenny is on the look out for her new beau. In her mind, you need a boyfriend to rise to the top, and low and behold, Vince comes along. From our previous tip offs we know that Vince is gay, but he seems very flirtatious, even eager to get close to Jenny. All is well in the Humphrey house.
Blair, across town, has earned back the respect of the “elite,” so to speak, and they plot to ruin another girl in their class with some Flo Rida songs. They choose to ruin this girl because she is a great deal more gifted then any of them, even in their element. With some careful planning, these girls remove the batteries from her calculator before SAT testing and magnify the end of her last relationship.
Also taking the SAT, is Vanessa. Well, Nate and her developed a sort of friendship over the course of the last few days (that is how things work in New York… fast!). They met for coffee, made out at her work, and well, developed a surprise plan to test Vanessa’s knowledge (which was more Nate’s doing). This relationship was not welcome to Blair or Dan, as you can see in the final scene, outside the testing building.
Today my mom and I hiked up and around Mt Taber park (there are some pictures below). Later on I met up with Lizzabeth at her house where we made margaritas and discussed the camping trip, this summer. The idea is that my birthday (June 3) bbq would take place after Thadd came into Portland (June 21) and that the camping trip (Thurs-Mon) would happen shortly after that. Of course, nothing is finalized but we did brush some minor details.
The first is that we should have the maximum campers in a space. So there will be a lot of people there.
The second is that you have to find a place to sleep, or a person to sleep with (we mean a tent), a ride to and from the park (located fairly close to Portland… A couple of us have cars with extra seats), and be able to provide yourself with a fairly good amount of food for a couple of days (not that much money at all). In addition to that, BYOB (or whatever you want to bring). Thats all that we’ve really figured out but we have a pretty good idea of who is coming. Off the top of my head: Miller, Thadd, Young, Joey, Mariah, Abigale. Like I said, nothing is finalized and more people are to come. I think Lizzie said something about Austin and Severin but I can’t really recall. As you can see, this is not a couple specific camp out (couples are the ultimate lame). Until I can figure out more about the trip (which was Lizzie’s idea), here are the pictures from our hike today:

I want to live here!! ^^^

I haven’t had a lot of time to write this weekend but I did attend the Hot Chip show this Wednesday and it was really awesome. Severin was able to get me in for free so I can hardly thank him enough. Unfortunately photography wasen’t allowed inside the venue so I only got these three photos of Free Blood(?):

I found Elephant’s Nature Park recently. They are different from other elephant parks because they use rescued and abused animals that are otherwise worthless to training parks; blind or sick animals. They don’t have them preform tricks or ride you on their backs but they have an interesting month -long program where you can work with elephants and learn more about them, bathe them, and feed them. The best part is that it is a totally all ages, no experience required program, and all of it helps protect elephants from mistreatment.
This web page has tons of interesting pictures of animal taxidermy, but none that I can see of human restoration (it exists!). I found a photo of scarlet tanagers on this website that was really fantastic. I’ve posted some photos below (along with a video off of you tube, “Stories from the Vault: Taxidermy-” informative).

This plate demonstrates the dissection of several birds and mice.

Mixed taxidermy. Snake and turtle, I think.

Taxidermy corncrake.
